The Sir Manasseh Meyer International School provides an American-oriented, research based curriculum. Our program is driven by the latest pedagogical research on how children most effectively learn at each age level. The emphasis at SMM is teaching excellence. Whether in the Early Childhood Center’s warm, nurturing environment or the Middle School’s pre-collegiate preparatory program, every student’s unique way of thinking and learning is recognized. Each student is taught to explore and become adventuresome learners.
Our singular academic program helps shape creative thinkers and risk takers. Our curriculum teaches children to be original thinkers.
Our curriculum is international, interdisciplinary and integrated. Our students gain a comprehensive understanding of the nature of knowledge by breaking down disciplinary walls and emphasizing the interconnectedness of all knowledge. Judaic Studies informs every discipline. The values and ethics of Judaism are at the core of our program. General Studies and Judaic curricula are inextricably tied together making both disciplines a coherent whole. Our Judaic program offers two tracks: the Classic track provides a halachically rich traditionally oriented approach; the Heritage track follows a program that emphasizes the history and development of the Jewish people, their culture and ethics. Both tracks teach a love of the State of Israel and its importance to the Jewish people.
