SWIM MEET REPORT
After 40 minutes of waiting anxiously for the arrival of One World International School and worrying if the swimming competition was going to be cancelled for the second time within 2 weeks. As soon as the OWI team popped in around 16:40pm; swimmers and parents got pumped to race and showed their support. The issue of coming late was completely forgotten and everyone was excited to race.
At 16:45pm, the first race was underway. It was backstroke 25m event and Ella Mochkin raised the bar by winning the first event of the competition. This boosted the team’s spirit and most of our swimmers raised to the challenge against One World International team that beat us last year. More fast swimming followed with astonishing performance from Jordan in backstroke, Mia Ambarchi in the 25m Butterfly and many more. In the end, SMMIS Knights Swim team recorded 418 point against One World International school with 350 points.
Our novice Knights Swim Team, had an amazing afternoon racing hard, trying their best, cheering, and having fun. Apart from winning the competition, all our the swimmers improved their personal best times and a detailed record will be placed on the swimming notice board soon. A big improvement and well done to all the swimmers for your hard work – Ella Mochkin, Jordan & Joshua Pozniak, Mia & Tara Ambarchi, Yael Ruchvets, Mayya Novozlihova, Ezra Feiler, Sol & Leo Patel, Alisa Tikalenko, Laura Moncraz, Rotem Ben Zikrit, Liam and Jamie Mallach and Augustus Tan.
